Choo Young-woo Joins ‘Treasure Box 3’ After Hong Seok-cheon’s Special Invitation

On February 4th, Choo Young-woo made an appearance on the YouTube channel Hong Seok-cheon’s Treasure Box in the episode titled “A Top Gay Who Fell in Love with His Friend's Son, Choo Young-woo, Hong Seok-cheon’s Treasure Box Season 3 EP.02.”

Before Choo Young-woo's appearance, Hong Seok-cheon expressed his excitement, eagerly awaiting the actor’s arrival. "I can’t control myself," Hong Seok-cheon said. "The moment I discovered Choo Young-woo, my heart raced. He’s the rising star of 2025, and even his nostrils are handsome," showcasing his admiration for Choo Young-woo.

Hong Seok-cheon had reached out to Choo Young-woo through social media to bring him onto Treasure Box 3, creating a 'Choo Young-woo recruitment operation.' In the past, Hong Seok-cheon posted a snapshot of Choo Young-woo from The Tale of Lady Ok (JTBC) on his social media story and even sent a direct message (DM) saying, "The charming Young-woo, it would be amazing if you could join Treasure Box. I think the response will be just as good as when I saw Byun Woo-seok."

When Choo Young-woo received the DM, he was surprised. "I was playing games with a friend at home, and my friend sent me the message. I was shocked, and it felt like an honor," he shared, expressing his gratitude for both Hong Seok-cheon’s invitation and his support for Choo Young-woo’s work.

Hong Seok-cheon, excited by Choo Young-woo’s upcoming participation, said, "There are times when a rising star shakes up the entertainment industry. Last year it was Byun Woo-seok, and this year it’s Choo Young-woo. When you feel it, you just can’t sit still. I invited him to Treasure Box, and he said, 'I’ll try to make the schedule work.' His character is so kind."

During the episode, Choo Young-woo also revealed his ideal type. He likes individuals with "strong preferences," especially those who have a clear sense of style and fragrance.

Choo Young-woo opened up about his dating style, saying, "In dramas, I appear direct, but when I really like someone, I get nervous and can’t even send a simple message without overthinking it."
