BLACKPINK’s Jennie Wins Global Force Award at Billboard Women in Music 2025
BLACKPINK’s Jennie continues to solidify her status as a global icon.
On February 12 (local time), Billboard announced the winners for 'Billboard Women in Music 2025,' recognizing women who made significant contributions to the music industry. Among the honorees, Jennie will receive the prestigious 'Global Force Award,' a testament to her explosive impact as a solo artist.
Billboard described Jennie as "exceptional, acknowledged for her groundbreaking influence since embarking on her solo journey." She joins other globally acclaimed artists such as Ćngela Aguilar, Erykah Badu, GloRilla, Megan Moroney, Meghan Trainor, and Tyla in the awards lineup.
Jennie’s achievements as a soloist are remarkable. Her single 'Mantra,' released last October, entered Billboard’s Hot 100 for two consecutive weeks, marking a triumphant solo debut. Additionally, her recent track 'Love Hangover (feat. Dominic Fike)' secured the 96th spot on the Hot 100, setting her personal best chart record.
Fans are eagerly anticipating her first full solo album, 'Ruby,' set for release on March 7. With the pre-release of the 'ZEN' music video and 'Love Hangover' audio, Jennie is creating immense buzz ahead of her comeback.
The 'Billboard Women in Music 2025' ceremony will be held on March 29 at the YouTube Theater in Los Angeles, celebrating the contributions of outstanding women in the music industry.
